USB 3.0 SuperSpeed

USB 3.0 SuperSpeed

Remember the days when USB 1.0 & USB 2.0 were the best and easiest way to transfer data. We’ll now try transferring your data in 5 gigabits per second speed with the all new USB 3.0 by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). USB 3.0’s revolutionary speed is backward compatible with USB 2.0, but in order to obtain the USB 3.0 speed you will need a new cable, and new host adapter or a new motherboard built to support USB 3.0. The technology behind USB 3.0 more closely resembles PCI Express than USB 2.0 for most PC users. The design and connections built into the USB 3.0 still has a few identical features besides having a few more extra connections built in that allows USB 3.0 to use less power and specially transfer more data at faster transfer rate. The standardized color for USB 3.0 will have a blue insulating plastic and USB 2.0 will have a black insulating plastic in order to distinguish their speed.
